Collapsible content
Monday: Explore Algorithms & Meet Dash
Students will discover how Dash operates through coding in the Path App and explore the concepts of algorithms and design thinking.
Tuesday: Narrative Adventures with Dash
Engaging in hands-on fun with Dash, students will experience a full design cycle from hearing a story-based challenge to building an environment that matches the story to coding Dash to overcome the challenges of the adventure and achieve the quest-like objectives.
Wednesday: Path App and Go App with Dash
Leveraging the coding knowledge and design thinking students have gathered in the first two days of camp, they will continue with narrative challenges, trying both the Path and Go Apps for coding.
Thursday: Build Your Own Adventure
Armed with coding knowledge, robot design strategies, and creativity, students will begin to build their own narrative adventures and challenges, leading each other through fun storylines with Dash.
Friday: Final Adventure and Showcase
All of the weeks accomplishments will be celebrated today as students have fun with some competitive Dash challenges and build a final narrative adventure to showcase their week’s accomplishments.
Course Format
This course is part of a weeklong summer camp running Monday through Friday. Your child will learn in a small group setting on an inspiring university campus from an experienced instructor.
