This dynamic course offers students the opportunity to develop essential digital literacy and coding skills using ScratchJr and Scratch. They'll learn the fundamentals of block-based coding, animating their own stories and game ideas with sequences, loops, and conditionals. As they enhance their creative expression and logical thinking, students will delve into structuring narratives, designing characters, and creating engaging gameplay. But the learning doesn't stop there - afternoons are dedicated to Sports Adventures, where students will engage in various physical activities to develop coordination, fitness, and teamwork. This holistic program perfectly balances the development of tech skills with physical and social growth, ensuring a summer filled with learning, creativity, and fun!

Tuesday: Celestial Mechanics and Time
Uncover the secrets of the sun, moon, and their effects on Earth through projects on time zones, seasons, and moon phases in ScratchJr, illustrating celestial influence on our planet.
Wednesday: Storytelling with Classic Literature
Animate beloved stories like "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Goodnight Moon" using ScratchJr. Students blend coding with storytelling to bring these tales to life.
Thursday: Global Landmarks and Habitats
Explore the world's architectural and natural wonders, from the Eiffel Tower to the Serengeti. Through Scratch animations, students will showcase their knowledge and creativity.
Friday: Creative Coding Projects
Students apply their coding skills in a final project, creating original animations or games in Scratch Jr. Inspired by the week's lessons, they design and share their unique creations.
Course Format
This course is part of a weeklong summer camp running Monday through Friday. Your child will learn in a small group setting from an experienced instructor. An exciting daily schedule balances learning and exploration of this topic with a variety of outdoor and recreational activities within the larger camp setting. Lunch and aftercare options are available based on location.
